DRA is a world leader in the design and engineering of mineral process solutions. Our process engineering capability ranges from metallurgical consulting, involvement in conceptual and feasibility studies, basic and detail design, through to successful commissioning.

We have the expertise to conceptualize and design mineral processes from treating run-of-mine (ROM) ore to producing saleable product. Our innovative designs make use of most primary unit processes including crushing, milling, screening, flotation, leaching, gravity separation, (dense medium, jigs, spirals, tables) thickening, filtration, driers and roasters, and diamond sorting.

Recent designs have included High Pressure Grinding Rolls and Ultra Fine Grinding mills to extract maximum performance out of difficult ores.

While the department’s main strengths lie in treating coal, diamonds, gold, chrome, base metals and platinum bearing ore, we also have substantial experience in designing plants to treat heavy minerals, rare earth and industrial minerals.

The Americas office has provided clients with process and metallurgical expertise in some of the less common commodities such as Gallium, Indium and Vanadium.
