Our Toronto office has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to be part of our team.
The Project Manager will liaise with clients, focus on project scope, budget and time controls, manage quality, project risk quantification and staffing requirements to ensure excellent customer relations.
The Project Manager will plan, organise and control projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget. Emphasis is placed on working with the estimate, reporting and monitoring progress, planning and scheduling of work and manpower, and dealing with project changes.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer
- Effectively manage various Projects, adhering to budgets, timelines and key deliverables.
- Oversee the planning, construction and management of cost to company projects
- Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships to enhance competitiveness in the industry and promote good customer relationships
- Responsible for inspecting project sites in order to monitor progress and ensure compliance with all safety and government relations.
- Review survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints and other relevant data to plan projects
- Provide feedback to Management and other Project Leaders
- Adhere to budgets by following projected resource needs and determine ongoing funding priorities
- Review technical reports and provide recommendations
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
Requirements:
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Strong presentation and verbal skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly on all levels.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to present alternative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and with a team on a project
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5-10 years of project management experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with mineral processing plants
- Professional Engineer designation
